Victor Bregeda was born in 1963 near Moscow, Russia. After completing art studies at a nearby university, he went against the strict rules he was taught and pursued his own vision of creative art.
Drawn to many of the historic greats from Da Vinci to Breugel and Bosch, he especially liked the smooth painting style of Dutch painters. Having painted all his life, he did not go “public” until he was 26.
His metarealistic style has a strong influence of subconscious philosophy. His works show the real nature of things hidden from empirical understanding; they are thought-provoking and imaginative.
